Farmers’ Market Shares are an alternative to the traditional CSA – you pay for your share in the spring and receive a credit for the amount you paid plus an extra credit to spend at any of Sugar Creek Farm’s market stands during a growing season that last from mid April through the end of November. We’ll also have a scheduled day for picking up produce at the farm if you aren’t able to make it to either of the markets we go to regularly.

Why sign up?

The best feature of the Farmers’ Market Share is that unlike a conventional CSA, you choose what you want and when, not us. Come to the market on your own schedule, pick out the items you want and we’ll subtract it from your total credit.

So if we grow something you don’t like, don’t buy it! Forgot your wallet? No problem! Going out of town? No need to find someone to pick up your share; just double up the next week. Or wait until you have a house full of folks and then come get 30 lbs. of tomatoes! It’s totally up to you. If you want suggestions on things to buy, though, we’ll be there to help. Or, you can always check out your newsletter for ideas and recipes.

What else do you get?

In addition to the extra credit, you’ll receive:

• Sugar Creek Farm merchandise (like a t-shirt or tote bag);
• an email newsletter including farm notes, what we’ll be selling that week and recipes;
• the opportunity to reserve produce (so you don't have to get to the market early to get the best stuff);
• the option to have your produce delievered right to your home or office (you can use your credit for the $7 fee); and
• an exclusive invitation to our Farm Visit Day which will feature great music, yummy food and an opportunity to see behind-the-scenes at the farm!

The cost for a full Market Share is $400 (for which you'll be credited $450). We also sell half shares at $200 (for which you'll be credited $215). Please make checks payable to Sugar Creek Farm. We will send you an email confirmation when we receive your payment so you'll know you've received your credit.
